Now that the political conference season is over the political hacks are reviewing what went on and doing their best to work out what it means for the future. The particular hooha in Manchester and the resulting election of a new leader of the Labour party may be the most significant event of the season and brings the subject of leadership and the leader’s role in an organisation once more to the fore. Now that Ed Milliband has the role what must he do? What will the party expect of him? I’ve got a simple model, the leadership pyramid. here goes. (more…)
